Biography
Irvin Akinseye is a Third-Year MD Candidate at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Previously, he worked full-time as an Investment Banker at Goldman Sachs and a Healthcare Investor at Longitude Capital and Vivo Capital. His interest in tech transfer began as a healthcare investor where he evaluated and invested in several successful commercial opportunities which had been spun out from academia and tech transfer. Irvin’s previous research experience at Brown University involved building CRISPR-Cas9 generated models for immunological processes in the department of surgery. Irvin graduated from Brown University with an AB in Economics and an AB in Health & Human Biology.
