Biography

Marc is a co-founder and Managing Partner of OUP (Osage University Partners), which he helped launch in 2009. OUP invests in university spinouts by partnering with academic institutions and sharing its profit with them. Marc oversees all of OUP’s technology investment activities. Along with the other Managing Partners, he is also responsible for overseeing and approving all OUP investments and all other Partnership and organizational activitiesMarc has been involved with nearly all of OUP’s technology investments since 2009, including portfolio companies such as Assetwatch, Corelight, Evolv Technologies (Nasdaq: EVLV), IonQ (NYSE: IONQ), Hack the Box, Menlo Security, SiFive, Streetlight Data (acquired by Jacobs), Virtue AI, and many more.

Marc has spent over 30 years in venture capital. In 1993, he joined Consumer Venture Partners, an early stage venture capital firm that invested in young consumer businesses. In 1997, Marc co-founded BEV Capital and served as a General Partner. From 1997 to 2007, BEV raised and invested over $200 million in over 40 companies, and Marc focused on building a technology portfolio for BEV.

Marc actively participates in the non-profit world as a member of the Selection Advisory Board for GreenLight Philadelphia, a venture philanthropy firm, a volunteer for HIAS-PA, and numerous other volunteer endeavors.

Marc earned his B.S. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1993. He resides in Lower Merion, Pennsylvania with his wife Leah and three children.
